Hi,my wife and i are travelling to Negombo next month and staying at Seashells.Please can anyone advise us on jabs and malaria protection needed.Thanks

Hi Roy,

Malaria: no need unless you plan to stay overnight in Cultural Triangle or Udu Walawe-Yala areas, which are both 100+ from the coast.

Jabs: Hepatitis-A, Typhoid, Polio, Tetanus.

Note that some mozzie-diseases like Dengue do happen in Negombo too and have no vaccin, so always protect the skin well against mozzies. Inside your hotel room with AC/fan/coil no big deal, outside of it a certain point of attention.

All amateur opinions, so better doublecheck with your GP or health nurse to make sure.
