Anyone flown Kingfisher Airlines?

I%26#39;m looking to book flights for another trip to Sri Lanka next August and Kingfisher Airlines seem to be coming out with a very good price - they fly from Heathrow and stop in India en route.

Has anyone used this airline or flight before? At the price, I am very tempted ...

Anyone flown Kingfisher Airlines?

Hi Sue,

The Bangalore - Colombo flight exists for over a year now, but India-London for maybe a month. Just brandnew long-distance planes.

Assuming the transit is not to long (because then you%26#39;d like to take a hotel, pay 30+ bucks for India visa etc.) it could be good. Be sure to check traveller%26#39;s experiences with Kingfisher short-distance flights as these exist for over 4 years. Ourselves no direct experience, used close competitor Jet last fall (Colombo-Chennai-Mumbai) and was happy with them.

All the best,

Hi Sue

Like Erik no personal use of them, have heard they are EXCELLENT though, just checked thier website for dates that i am looking at around March/April and their First Class is way under what Sri Lankan%26#39;s Business class is cost wise ($2460 US Dollars), maybe i will check them out myself?

Transfer times for flight i looked at was 1hour 40 minutes, so not bad either.

Regards

Dave

Thanks Erik and Dave

It would mean a 3 hour stopover in Bangalore (and much less than that on the return journey)... but that%26#39;s no worse than the stopover we have in Doha with Qatar in January .. and Kingfisher is coming out about 拢120 cheaper than Qatar ... sounds good, doesn%26#39;t it?!

All the best

Sue
