I have read some reports on here regards this already, but they were back in 2006 so would like an updated review. Does the low cost airline Mihin still fly, or is this airline risky if it still does? as we will be going in September 2009 for our honeymoon. Just a one way is needed and so far £175 GBP is the cheapest I can find per person. Any help with maybe a new airline that flies there that has cheaper fares than the major carriers would be much appreciated.
Colombo-Maldives Flights
Hi there....
Right now Mihin or as some may call it ';el presidente airlines'; is not flying, but...... rumour has it will restart services soon.
I for one would not book a flight with this outfit, you can never tell if you will get there, or get back again, this fledgling airline has so many debts around it would not surprise me if there one and only aircraft gets impounded when it arrives at it%26#39;s first destination.
So for me, advice is leave WELL alone, and look to go with Sri Lankan to Male from Colombo, or maybe change your original booking to accomadate both flights, would work out cheaper that way.
Regards
Dave
Colombo-Maldives Flights
Thanks for the info Dave. Yes I think your right I should stay away from this airline then, especially in the current airlines problems. Think even if we paid £175 each at least we would get to the Maldives for the honeymoon! Thanks for the honest advice
