We are flying back to LHW on Sri Lanka airways in Jan and understand the flight is via the Maldives.
Can any one give us an idea of how long the stop over is for and also the best seats for this flight
thanks

Hi there,
The stop is mainly for refueling (and of course embarking and disembarking of a part of the passengers). It will last between 45 and 60 mins and generally transit passengers are NOT allowed to leave the plane.
See www.srilankan.aero for seat maps of the plane. Sandya always loves the exit row window seats toward the front, e.g. 10A and 10K (for the A340 that is), but it will also depends on your taste. Also check whether you have an A330 or A340, seat arrangements differ slightly between those two.
All the best,

Hi there....
Recently introduced flights from Colombo via Male to LHR, and stop would be around 45 to 60 minutes, ';sometimes'; little longer this time of year due to more pax going to Maldives these days than Sri Lanka.
Check the seating plans, but i seam to remember that row 10 is the one directly behind Business class now, and not an exit row !
Regards
Dave
Hi
Scheduled stop at Male is 60 mins, transit passengers are not allowed to leave the aircraft.
Exit row seats can%26#39;t be pre-booked, so if you want an exit row seat you have to check-in early. The smaller cabin just behind business class is usually quiter than the larger cabins further back. Row 10 is not an exit row, but a bulkhead row (without bassinets).
