can anybody tell me if they accept british stirling in sri lanka . our travel agent is not sure.

With %26#39;accepted%26#39; meaning: at the banks and money changers, not (at any decent rate) in most shops. Hotels would accept but also at an unfavourable rate...

ATMs are safe and plentiful. Eaiser to stick a card in the wall to get Rupees than faffing about trying to change cash.
