Beruwala, bentota or Negombo

Hi there

We are a family of 8 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 10 year olds and a toddler. We only have 6 days so were going to Negombo. We didnt fancy too much travelling. Now we have been offered a package of going straight to Kandy for 1 or 2 days and then down to Beruwala for 4 days.

I have now heard reports that the Club Palm Gardeni in Beruwala is not very nice and Bentota is better than Beruwala.

Can anyone give us some advice and recommend a suitable hotel/resort for us.

Asap please as I have to make a booking in next day or so.

personally, especially having the kids along , I%26#39;d go a bit further than Beruwella. As far as Hikkaduwa and get a hotel opening onto the reef sheltered beach.

Maybe either the Coral Gardens or the Coral Sands.

The beach there is clean and wide and because i%26#39;ts completely enclosed by the coral reef , it%26#39;s safe for kids whatever the state of the sea outside the reef.

I know it%26#39;s about another hour travelling than Beruwella and some peple don%26#39;t like to travel far from the airport but that%26#39;d be my choice.

Yes I think it would be much interesting if you could go further up to Hikkaduwa. In the same time while you are touring in Kandy Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage will be much interesting for the kids.
