we are considering 2 weeks in sri lanka in July, just a tad worried about the weather at that time of year, don%26#39;t mind the odd shower, been to the Far East a lot and expect the occasional downpour, any comments most welcome, thanks , shirley

I%26#39;d fully recommend 2nd half of July. Then West monsoon is in full swing which usually is sunny mornings and the occasional %26#39;cats %26amp; dogs%26#39; shower from the afternoons. Quite decent for beach tourism. June and a tail in first half of July can be first intermonsoon and much more unsettled, with also fully cloudy day with too many scattered showers.
