Hi, i am booked to go to sri lanka in sept and was wondering about rough costs of things in general eg drinks, meals etc etc

Supposing tourist restaurants: local drinks Rs 100-150 at most. Lunch including those Rs 600-900 and dinner Rs 1200-1500.

Transport cost in car almost same as UK, in tuktuk at most half the car price, and in public transport negligible...

If soft drinks, it%26#39;s expensive.

You can%26#39;t buy a beer at that price - even at the off license. Off license price p.t. is LKR 120 for Lion Lager and LKR 140 for Carlsberg. Both 625 ml bottles. In a restaurant you should expect to pay about double price or more. Liqour license for a year is now LKR 130,000 and the restaurant has to earn that money back again.
