Kingfisher Airlines

Just back from another wonderful 2 weeks in Sri lanka. Looking to book again for july but has anybody used Kingfisher Airlines Yet. Have flown previously with many other airlines but was thinking of giving these a go.

I don%26#39;t think many has used Kingfisher yet as they just started flying to Sri Lanka from last Monday.

There are a couple of threads in the forum regarding people going Kingfisher. They promised to give a review after returning from their holidays.

Kingfisher have in fact been flying to Colombo from LHR via Bangalore since last October, and i have to say have some really good feedback too.

Was thinking about them myself for my next trip, BUT, my good friends have secured me a VERY good deal with SLA once more, so maybe next time i will try Kingfisher.

Incidentally, they are now partners with Skywards too !, could come in handy !

Then I must have misread the Daily Mirror last Tuesday about Kingfisher%26#39;s inaugural flight into Colombo. That must have been their flights from Chennai then.

The ';Official'; launch was indeed last Monday as you say, this was a press do organised by thier new partners in Sri Lanka, AitkenSpence who will now be looking after thier ground handling in Sri Lanka.

The October launch (Bangalore) was unsuitable for London passengers because only 1 flight per day. Now they have %26#39;2%26#39;: morning is Chennai-Colombo-Bangalore and afternoon is other way round. And guess what, both Colombo-Bangalore connections are perfect for transit passengers to/from London.

Good example set for Jet Airways, as they have 2 flights per day Colombo-Chennai but both have a horrible transfer (10 hours wait) to/from Europe flights....

Kingfisher WITHIN India is excellent - very good service, food, new planes, etc. Certainly better than most American or European airlines these days. Reminds me of the way British Airways was 10 or 15 years ago.
