Hi there...

The FCO website is owned and updated the Foriegn Office here in UK and has nothing to with any media input at all.

Basically the advice on there has not changed for several years now, but does update after serious happenings there to keep people informed.

The situation is volatile yes, but only in the areas that it advises you should keep away from, i was there in November/Decmeber time and as usual did not feel threatened at all, and will be going back for several weeks at end of March time, and right now see no reason to think twice about it.

If there is a media ';involvement'; at all it will come form the Sri Lankan authorities, and not from UK.

The new ';media minister'; there in Sri Lanka is none other than the President !, so ';maybe'; take what is said in thier online newspapers with a ';little'; pinch of salt for the time being !!

Regards

Dave
