i am thinking of a holiday to sri lanka in august. searching for flights kingfisher an indian airline appears much cheaper than any other, has anyone flown with this company and how safe would it be if the co went bust. I can book with opodo who usually deal with the biggest airlines. Any info would be much appreciated.

Not flown Kingfisher yet !, but considering it for next visit.

Yes, they are MUCH cheaper than probably any airline flying London to Colombo right now,BUT for your own safety then book with a well known agent, as you say Opodo or maybe Dialflight, these should have the protection you need should the unfortunate happen, AND always pay using a CREDIT CARD too whoever you book with, this will guarantee your money should any company go bust !

We%26#39;re flying with Kingfisher on the 31st Jan. We got our flights for 拢396, there is a stop over in bangalore for 1 1/2 hours...

I%26#39;ll let you know how it was when I get back, I think there are a few people interested in how reliable/comfortable the flight is...

Additional Q for those who booked already, as I keep getting troubles finding it directly on the KF website:

What was your luggage allowance out of London? 20, 25, 30 kg? Quite a relevant factor for us semi-expats...

Okay, same as Kuwait Airways whilst Qatar, Emirates and Etihad _can_ be 30 kg from London. Better than the lousy 20 kg from Amsterdam at least, can handle this if we combine with Eurostar. Thanks!

拢450 per person.....during school holidays so I think that is pretty good.

On the airline reviews site, Kingfisher is classed as one of the few 5 star airlines so am expecting them to be good and not go bust!!

Fingers crossed they don%26#39;t go bust!! As long as you%26#39;ve paid with a credit card you%26#39;re covered. The reviews of Kingfisher I%26#39;ve seen online look very promising. Also the leg room is more than BA, 34 inches compared to 31 or 32 inches with BA.
