We are planning to get our wedding on August 2009 in Galle, and would like to know the cost for it please.
We would like to get a tradisional sinhala wedding with poruwa ceremony and really keen about Light House Hotel.
Any other good places? Any suggesions? Please help us.

Almost any Lankan hotel/guesthouse can arrange a wedding for you. And the price will be roughly proportional to their room rates; this is due to the luxury of the reception halls, food quality etc. etc. And of course also depends on the number of guests; last fall we had a family wedding in Lanka costing well over 3,000 quid but it was for %26gt; 250 guests in a 5-star place...
So it%26#39;s really best to inquire with the hotels/guesthouses considered. Lighthouse is 4-5 stars so won%26#39;t be at the cheap end of the price range; alternatives could e.g. be Neptune Bay or Unawatuna Beach Resort (both in Unawatuna) or some of the 2-star Hikkaduwa hotels. Galle itself doesn%26#39;t have much decent 2-3 star, unfortunately - Sun House or the like maybe.
