Hotel Neptune

My partner and i have just returned from a two week stay at the Neptune.

After the flight it is a good 3hours to the resort but we were prepared for this, the staff very quickly showed us to our room which we were very greatfull for being very tired.

The room was quite large but was as everyone else has said very tired,the beds were quite hard this did not bother me but if you want a nice soft bed forget it.Also if you like soft white fluffy towels forget that as well they are old and rather grey, however there was a good shower with plenty of hot water at all times.

As we went around the hotel we found it all to be as tired as our room, one evening in our way down to dinner we just avoided a large lump of plaster that fell off the ceiling, we reported this and the mess was soon cleared up but nothing gets repaired. Other people staying there were also shocked when things were out of order the staff who came to fix it wanted to be tipped.

Now i will go on to the food! If you eat curry you are well in but if you don%26#39;t eat meat you might like to bring things with you unless you want to live on eggs which i have to say they are happy to cook for you in whatever form you like. I also found everything served is repeated avery few days and as there is not a wide choice you can get fed up with the same old same. Breakfast is the best meal of the day so make the most of it.

The pool and gardens are clean and well kept.

The saving grace for this hotel is the staff the front desk, waiters, cleaners were all great the only people that were not so good were the bar staff and that could be down to the fact they have very little to work with the drinks are very basic no cocktails or anything fancy.

The beach is not the best for swimming and your rep will advice you of this.The beach people can be a pest and sometimes just a polite no thank you is not enough you need to be very firm or you will find them following you all along the beach they will do anything for a sale,this includes the trips sold on the beach, I am not saying not to do any of them but to be very carefull you don%26#39;t get ripped off if you want to deal with anyone find Sid he is about the best but still be carefull because everyone is poor and out to take the tourist for as much as pos.

However do do some trips the animals and and country as a whole is wonderfull.
