Has anyone used ';Vacations Srilanka'; for round trips in Srilanka?

Looks nice, but looking for your comments before book a tour with them.

one of friend had a tour with them in july and he said its a good company and reccommended for my next trip also. so i%26#39;ve already booked a 2 weeks round trip in november with them. when will be your trip in srilanka?

Have looked at the web site. I see a few problems:-

1. The accommodation is only in %26#39;Standard%26#39; unnamed hotels.

2. This is B%26amp;B only, lunch and dinner are extra

3. Seems pricey for what you get.

4. Haven%26#39;t heard of vacationsSrilanka before - don%26#39;t know if this is an established company or someone just acting as a broker.

I would always recommend getting a quote based on named hotels and on a 1/2 board basis.

I think you would do better to get quotes from establed tours comanies such as Walkers, www.walkerstours.com, Red Dot www.reddottouts.com or jetwing www.jetwingtravels.com

I think you will get a better choice, named hotels, 1/2 board and probably better price. Don%26#39;t be afraid to ask for several quotes.

They have a page in their site called ';Plan a tour';, so i just filled it and submited. Will see their itinerary and prices.

We booked ours over the internet without using a specific company and filled in the gaps when we got there. Our plans changed when we got there once we understood the time travelling takes. Due to the shortage of tourists you are unlikely to have any trouble finding places to stay.

You could post a list of what you want to see and do on here and you will get lots of advice

Just come back from 2 weeks in Sri Lanka, I used red dot tours. They were superb, everything I wanted from the trip, the hotels top drawer, particularly the Fortress in Galle. Everything including transfers was sorted out for me.......... Have a look at there website. www.reddottours.com

We are very satisfied with the service we got, they always were very flexible and proposed rapidly a solution for our needs.

Unlike in many Asian countries, we felt we could trust them and that we were in their safe hands.

At the hotels, they made sure we were treated as VIP%26#39;s and if this still wasn%26#39;t enough, prices were very reasonable.
