Dear Forum

I have heard one can get a fishing boat or other is one wishes to travel to India from SL. this i would like to do if possible please do you have any information about this possibility and if so from where in SL would one depart.

Hi Ian....

In the current climate out there, i doubt VERY much if you would be able to get a boat from Sri Lanka to India, you are very likely to get blown out of the water by the Sri Lankan navy/airforce attempting this !

or if you have a lucky escape the Indian Navy is also on full alert and you will be arrested by Indian authorities for illegal entry.

Either way, the answer is no.. You cannot trevel betwee India and Sri Lanka by boat.
