Hi I have quoted US$280 for a car for 2 passenger from the Beach Negombo to the Fortress in Galle and back Colombo. Is this a reasonable amount to pay in Sri Lanka?

Most probably this is a hotel quote??, Negombo to Galle is approx 155 Kilomtres, so roundtrip around 310 Ks, using the ';going rate'; often mentioned here on TA would suggest that a cost of closer to $170 to $180 US would be more appropiate.

Yes, it is a hotel quote. Do you happen to know a local tour/driver contact so I can organise this before we leave in March. We want to travel from Negombo to Fortress and then back to Colombo a week later.
