Has anyone out there done this trip recently? The comments on the forum are now nearly 2 years old.
My husband and I are going on 11th March and are looking forward to it immensely having travelled Kerala and Goa.
We are aware that the people are very poor and are demanding for money/sweets etc - you just have to be prepared as that is their way of life.
Can anyone let us know what the hotels are like on route - are there any swimming pools? We are staying the second week at Kani Lanka.
Does anyone have any advice to offer please?

The only thing I can judge from the brochure is that all hotels have pools, for sure! Quite common in Lanka in all areas except the cool tea highlands.
For the rest it looks like a good tour. So all other comments in this forum, e.g. on souvenirs and tipping, apply here too. Feel free to come back with specific questions.
