Ceylon Tea Trails to Vil Uyana - should we stop at Kandy?

Hello,

We are currently planning our 3 week honeymoon for Nov/Dec 09. We hope to spend 4 nights at the Ceylon Tea Trails and then travel to Vil Uyana for 3 nights. We are also considering stopping in Kandy (staying at The Kandy House) for 2 nights. Due to some mixed reviews, we are not sure whether to just stay for longer at Ceylon Tea Trails and go straight to Vil Uyana. Is Kandy worth stopping at?

Any advice much appreciated! Thankyou!

Hi there,

We might be biased but we do think that Kandy is a MUST see for at least one full day. It%26#39;s the heart of traditional Lankan culture, much more than the respected ruins around Vil Uyana like Sigiriya and P%26#39;ruwa.

All the best,

Absolutely, you must go to Kandy. If you are uncomfotable with youraccommodation pick another one, the choice is almost unlimited. check this site or say redtours.com for available choices

Hi,

This depends on your preferences. Most of the people like to stay one or two nights in the Kandy and they specially interested in the cultural show in the evening. However, it is not necessary as Erik mentioned. I recently met a honeymoon couple who have selected to spend their times in camping sites in tranquil locations like Sinharaja forest etc. So purely, it is your honeymoon and you can decide what would make you interesting.

thanks again!
