Hi Dawn,

NOT AT ALL needed specificly for these areas. YF is almost solely existing in South America. (Don%26#39;t mix up with Hepatitis, also called %26#39;yellow%26#39; in some languages - that is common in Lanka and needs vaccination for visitors.)

However for most international travel, including that to Lanka and Maldives, people who have been in risk areas in S-A for the last 6 months or so prior are required to have this vaccination...

Hope this helps a bit,

Hi..thanks for your reply..was getting a bit concerned as i was getting mixed messages and doubting my own research and thought maybe we wouldnt be allowed entry to maldives from sri lanka without a yf vaccination card..

Thanks again and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hi, have a fabulous holiday, we did this holiday beginning of april last year and was fantastic. Be prepared to be exhausted the first week as so much is packed in, but well worth it. By the time we got to The Maldives we were ready to crash on the beach and do nothing, which is exactly what we did. Am really envious would love to do the whole thing again. Be prepared to go to the top of Sigira Rock, we only went as far as the lions feet and deeply regret it, the view on pictures is absolutely amazing.
