Hi - my mum and dad are going to the Blue Water for their golden wedding in January on AI. Has anyone recently stayed there who have also celebrated a special anniversary? Wonder if any chance of a room upgrade or any special treats, any other information much appreciated.

Not stayed at Blue Water, BUT, when booking a special holiday for any hotel in Sri Lanka, like your parents for instance, then make sure that you tell the company that you are booking with.
They would almost certainly pass this info onto the hotels, you can of course e-mail the hotel yourself and make a ';special request'; too, i am sure that they would look on that favourably, and make sure that mum and dad add this info to the registration form when checking in too.

Blue water have a Suite which is lovely, i would recomend yu call the hotel as they are not quick in replying to emails. They also arrange special diiners which we had arranged for us whilst we were there which was lovely.
