Is it better to purchase here or in sri lanka . I was thinking of the weight of the bottles in the luggage .
Sun Cream again
Hi there....
Price and quality wise it is better to buy here in UK, if worried about weight then maybe leave out shower gels, shampoos ect, and buy them locally.

Dave
Sun Cream again
Hi,
Sainsbury,s are at present selling Amber Solaire at approx 拢2.99 per 150mls, all factors including high and also in gel form.
Boots have deet 50% their own brand (Repel) 2 for 1.
Thought this might help folks.
!3 days to go.
Thank you
Chris
Thanks again Dave . Are most things available in the local shops, (bentota).
Hi again
Yep, basics like shower gels, shampoos ect would be available locally either pharmacy or supermarkets there, UK brands too.
Regards
Dave
Hi,
From Bentota it%26#39;s a good idea to pop over to Aluthgama (just over the bridge) for supermarkets, e.g. Cargills Food City and Nebula.
Hans
Thanks both , As long as we can get the essentials Where not bothered really . wife will no doubt find Evey shop within 5 mile radius .Oh while I%26#39;m on is there any markets locally I love local markets food or other wise . One must do for me is to find a spice market .
just on thing .......... Bridge what bridge ??
Hi again,
Bentota is on the south side and Aluthgama is on the north side of Bentota river.
There is a mainly vegetable market in Aluthgama on Mondays, but they also sell spices, dry fish, clothes and you name it.
Hans
Yep
Over river is Aluthgama, where incidentally Hans ';lives'; when he goes to Lanka !, but anyway as he says loads of shops there of every type.
Nice shop there where i buy shirts from, probably Hans will know this even with out me putting name here ??, one way of filling luggage again after i have deposited gifts that i take with me !

Dave
