Weddings Sri Lanka

Has anyone booked a wedding in SRI LANKA direct with any of the hotels rather than through a tour operator in the UK. Mercury Direct offer really cheap holidays but not weddings.

Anyone%26#39;s info would help.

Thank you

Many of the hotels try and assist, but it really is best to go through a UK travel agent. Many of them are currently offering free weddings in Sri Lanka, so the costs work out.

I used to live in Sri Lanka and arrange wedding when working for a tour operator.

Your wedding is important so, you want to make sure it is right, and that you have all the correct paperwork ect, it would be awful if you got out there, and something was not right, and you could not marry.

Also, not all hotels do weddings, so this is also something to take into consideration.

If you need more info, please feel free to contact me.

Hi,

Most of the beach hotels organize weddings. Also inland hotels as well. If you like to organize a nature wedding you can organize it through Eco Team. www.srilankaecotourism.com

Also wedding planning is done by brides of Sri Lanka.

Hi,

Kuoni (http://www.kuoni.co.uk/) do wedding/honeymoon tours to Sri Lanka, and probably also Mercury Direct (www.mercury-direct.co.uk/mercury/index.php)

To addd....

Yep, Mercury do do tours, and Maldives add ons, but alas they are not in the wedding market.

Weddings can indeed be booked direct with hotels in Lanka,, and to be honest would offer a much better deal that tour operators can.

Regards

Dave
