Hotel Silver Sands is cheap and decent hotel.

Ask if they can arrange pick up from the airport. It should cost LKR 1400-1500 (less than GBP 10).

I checked out Silver Sands last July, would be happy to stay there on another visit. Plus is it is closer to Negombo town centre than a lot of the other accomodation on the beach strip.

If you aren%26#39;t looking for a place with a pool, check out Ocean View Guesthouse on Lewis Place. We had a great double room with fan, balcony and en-suite for 1500 rupees. Breakfast was another 300 each. You are a 3 minute walk from the beach and when we bought a drink there at Sunset Beach Hotel, we also got use of their pool, plus the loungers on the beach for free ...
