Hi, I am planning to travel with my wife to Sri Lanka for about 4-5 days in early December. We have been before and did the beach tour (Colombo, Bentota, Galle etc.). We would now like to visit Kandy and the Hill Country (maybe the elephant orphanage as well). Can anyone recommend a good itinerary? I have seen some recommendations for Kandy and Elle. Thanks.

Assuming you%26#39;re not tired because of a not so long flight, it will be:
* Day1 from airport to Kandy. Evening see a Kandy dance show.
* Day2: morning Pinawela orphanage. Afternoon Peradeniya grdens.
* Day3: after breakfast first temple of the tooth in Kandy. Then on to Eliya. Lunch at Ramboda falls, afternoon tour the town, and overnight at Ella or Haputale.
* Day4: tour that area, e.g. Lipton%26#39;s seat vista.
* Day5: back to airport.

If you are a bird watcher, try to visit Galswayland forest (a misty forest on top of the hills) for which most people are not aware.

Hi there I am doing the same type of tour for 5 days in Mid February. I will provide my itinerary however I think you will find Day 3-5
Itinerary looks something like this:
1. Day 1: Arrive Bentota (Check out local area) Stay Wunderbar
2 Day 2: Tour of Galle, Unawatuna and surrounding beaches
3 Day 3: Bentota River Tour and Watersports
4 Day 4: Leave Bentota for Kandy and Stay at Hotel Thilanka: Pinewalla, Batik Shop, Herbal Gardens
5 Day 5: Dambulla, and Tea Plantation
Day 6: Spa Treatments all day and cooking classes
Catch flight out of Sri Lanka
Total Cost for 5 days including food transport, Hotels and Guide = $1500 USD
