Kuoni Private Car And Driver

As part of our honeymoon we鈥檝e organised a private car and driver for 5 days instead of doing one of the fixed itinerary. Is there anyone on here that鈥檚 used this option with Kuoni? And what did you think of it?

Yep, and brilliant way to do it too, you don%26#39;t have to be hanging around for group members, and also of course you can negotiate with your driver to miss out the tourist traps too.

Great also for privacy especially on your honeymoon.

Used a Kuoni driver who likes to be called ';Jally';, so if you get him, then great !

Just another quick question for you if you don鈥檛 mind. Do you just get a driver or a driver/guide? What I mean is do you just get driven to destination and left to your own devices or does the driver give you a guided tour as well?

Kuoni will supply only a driver, BUT, he will accompany you whenever you want him too, very handy for warding off local touts at various places you will be visting, like Elephant Orphange or maybe Sigiriya for exampleand i recommend that you do this, touts can be a ';pain';

If you want to be left alone, then no problem, he will wait in the car for you.

But original poster can in fact mail Kuoni reservatios and ask for him, well if he is not busy with you and me of course, don%26#39;t worry though, Jally will NOT double book for anyone.

The Idea of using the driver to ward off touts certainly sounds like a good one! And I might ask about getting Jally too, he seems popular.

Yes, Jally is VERY popular, and i recommend him 100% too, a very decent family man who takes a LOT of pride in his work and country, not to mention his lovely family too.

He lives in Watalla, north of Colombo, so handy for airport pick ups.
