With the 拢 on the floor can anyone give me an up-to date estimate (or price in rupees) for:

1. Dinner incl. drinks at hotels like Heritance Kandalama, The Kandy House, St Andrew鈥檚 %26amp; Galle Fort

2. Tipping a driver for 14 days travel

How formal/relaxed is the dress code in these hotels during the evening? Are jackets required 鈥?do people tend to dress up for dinner or wear travelling clothes?

Can only give precise cost for Heritance Kandalama as i was there a few weeks back, beautiful hotel too.

Buffet Dinner: 2500 Rupees per head (拢14.50) at todays rate

Drinks: Beer 520 Rupees for pint bottle (拢3.05)

Vodka %26amp; Tonic 600 Rupees (拢3.50)

Dress code for evening meal was what they call smart casual, ie for gents trousers %26amp; shirt, ladies skirt top, jeans top ect, no one was dressing up for dinner, maybe of course different in the other hotels although i would expect prices to be the same or maybe a little less for food and drinks.

Tipping driver?, of course your decision, and ONLY tip for good service of course, maybe 4000 to 5000 Rupees (拢23.50 to 拢30.00 would be a GOOD tip !
